We recommend that all of our garments be HAND WASHED, however, if you wish to use a washing machine, it will be at your own risk, and we suggest a front loader with a hand wash cycle and to put the garments in a mesh bag as an added precaution.
As all our fabrics are natural fibers, they contain extra dye and this excess dye may come out in the wash. Therefore, make sure you wash your garments with like colours and expect some dye in the water.
Hand Washing
Gently wash garment by hand in cold, sudsy water with like colours, using a bleach-free detergent (we do not advise using detergents like Woolite or other "delicate" detergents). Rinse well. To remove excess water, gently squeeze or roll garment in an old towel and hang to dry. Smooth out any creases while the garment is still damp — this will make ironing easy.
The More You Wear It, The Better It Gets!
All garments with a linen content will be a little scratchy at first. After a bit of wear and a couple of washes, you will see a huge difference in the softness of the fabric.
Ironing
Iron garment inside out, using the steam setting on your iron. Crinkle fabrics must be ironed to retain original size.
Dry Cleaning
Dry cleaning is an alternative to hand washing. Advise dry cleaners to use a gentle process, as is used for silk. The majority of our garments have shell buttons, which may be damaged by the regular dry cleaning process.
Sierra Knits
A lightweight, delicate knit. Dry clean only. Store flat — do not hang!
Our fabrics consist of natural fibers:
COTTON
LINEN / RAYON BLEND
RAYON
Our rayon is a natural fiber made of wood pulp and helps the linen not wrinkle as much; it is the coolest fabric to wear in the summer or in hot climates.
Please note that all of the items on this clearance website are sold AS IS. In some cases, garment colours may vary, even within collections. As all of our garments are made using natural fibres and are hand dyed, dye lots can vary. If you have any questions about the fabrics, please feel free to contact us.

Garments made of lightweight cotton, like Carnaby or L.A., can be steamed or ironed for a fresh, crisp look, but can also be worn "crushed", which is the look we prefer. "Crushing" is a simple method that creates a crinkled texture and sculpted form — perfect for travel and for those of you who don’t like to iron! A pamphlet will be provided alongside your order with complete instructions on how to achieve this look.
